How do I get special education services for my child?

First, and most importantly, talk to your child's teacher.  Share your concerns and get the teacher's opinion about your child's learning needs.  After gathering enough data to support your concern, request that your child be assessed.  The results of the assessment will determine whether or not your child is eligible for special education services.
